- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Position Summary
In this role, you will provide direct patient care related to monitoring, assessment, and treatment of cardiac and medical-surgical patients. The position requires strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess Telemetry/Med Surg patients
- Administer medications and treatments
- Educate patients on diagnosis, medications, lifestyle changes, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Recognize and report changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Active Illinois RN License
- AHA BLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of acute care, Telemetry, or Med Surg experience(in clinical expertise to which applying)
Preferred:
- BSN or currently enrolled in a BSN program
