Lab Technologist – Microbiology

We are seeking a Lab Technologist with strong microbiology experience to join a growing laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with microbiology instruments and routine culture testing in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine microbiology testing including urine cultures, wound cultures, and related specimen analysis
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments including MicroScan, VITEK, and MALDI-TOF
- Record, analyze, and document test results accurately
- Perform quality control, troubleshooting, and instrument maintenance procedures
- Assist in developing and validating laboratory assays and protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and laboratory staff to support patient care
- Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and compliance standards
- Report directly to the Lab Supervisor
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, or related field
- Hands-on microbiology laboratory experience required
- Experience with MicroScan, VITEK, and MALDI-TOF preferred
- Strong understanding of routine microbiology procedures and culture testing
- MT or MLS certification preferred
