Position: Field Service Engineer (Hybrid)
Location: Smyrna, GA (training base) | Extensive US & Canada travel
Duration: Full Time / Permanent
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 base + overtime + travel pay + annual bonus
Role Information:
- Seeking a Field Service Engineer to support a growing installed base of industrial manufacturing equipment across North America
- Ideal for mechanically and electrically inclined professional who enjoys hands on troubleshooting, travel, customer interaction, and working with highly automated production equipment
- Serve as company’s technical representative in the field, performing equipment installations, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting at customer facilities throughout the United States and Canada

Responsibilities:
- Field Service & Technical Support
- Travel to customer facilities throughout the United States and Canada
- Perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation related issues
- Diagnose equipment faults and identify root causes
- Perform repairs and corrective maintenance activities
- Provide technical support to customers on site
- Equipment Installation & Commissioning
- Assist with equipment startups and commissioning activities
- Verify equipment performance and operational readiness
- Support customer acceptance testing
- Ensure installations meet company standards and customer requirements
- Customer Support & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary technical representative at customer locations
- Communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Build strong customer relationships through service excellence
- Provide recommendations for equipment performance improvements
- In House Support
- Participate in equipment testing and machine trials
- Assist with service administration and reporting
- Document service activities and technical findings
- Collaborate with internal engineering and support teams
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent hands on industrial experience will also be considered
- Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with industrial machinery or automation systems
- Ability to diagnose both electrical and mechanical issues independently
- Strong customer facing communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel 60 80% of the time
- Ability to attend initial onboarding and training program in Georgia
- Valid passport or ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Preferred Qualifications
- PLC troubleshooting or programming experience
- Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar platforms
- Automation, capital equipment, or manufacturing experience
- Packaging, plastics, or processing industry experience
- Equipment commissioning experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/French abilities
